Dear Kevin,

President Obama has publicly made it a priority to bring renewable energy efficiencies and education to our nation's schools.  ACORE shares his vision and is proud to announce that at our RETECH Conference in Las Vegas, NV, on February 26th, ACORE will join with Partners GREEN to deliver a petition to President Obama in support of the Partners GREEN initiative, "Onsite Renewable Energy, Efficiencies and Education at Our Nation's Schools" to promote energy literacy, onsite energy efficiency and renewable energy generation. ACORE whole-heartedly stands beside the petition and will ask its members to become signatories of this letter to President Obama at www.michigangreen.org.

Additionally, ACORE will host your "Green Schools" workshop at RETECH.  The workshop will emphasize necessary critical elements for achieving sustainable energy independence referencing the Project EverGREEN Schools® program in progress at Clark County School District, Las Vegas..

ACORE has established a Higher Education Committee dedicated to developing and implementing renewable energy activities and programs at the post-secondary level. Our mission is to extend green technologies and literacy to the nation's college campuses by offering classes on renewable energy. We are seeking collaboration with all institutions, especially, those of higher education, to create undergraduate and graduate degrees in renewable energy.

We are convinced that the "Say Yes to Green Schools" petition for renewable energy and its advocacy for energy literacy in schools such as the Project EverGREEN Schools® program have created a valuable platform that addresses these goals. We share a common purpose and seek opportunities to serve an agenda that allows our nation to achieve the vision of energy self-reliance.

Sincerely,

Michael Eckhart
President
