Destiny USA to Become Project EverGREEN Schools® Learning Center - Urges Others to Sign On to Letter to President Obama
Syracuse, NY – Destiny USA announced today that in partnership with Clean Green Energy it has agreed to host a Project EverGREEN Schools® Learning Center within the first phase of the Destiny USA complex. An important aspect of Project EverGREEN Schools is to showcase all aspects of renewable energy generation and efficiencies. At the Destiny Project EverGREEN Schools 17,000 square foot Learning Center, students from throughout the northeast will learn how distributed energy systems powered by clean renewable fuels can be deployed in all aspects of our everyday life.
"Project EverGREEN Schools will create a nationwide network of learning labs outside of the schools that are enriched with challenging, hands-on learning experiences. Extended off-campus classrooms are fundamental to creating a legacy of clean air and fresh water." Said Bryan Zaplitny, Clean Green Energy President. "Our graduates will be better prepared to face the challenges of diminished resources and capable of finding solutions through the generation/distribution of renewable energy."
Destiny USA founder Robert J. Congel agrees. "Through energy literacy, we can forge a tomorrow free of carbon footprints. To achieve success the initiative needs to begin with students. Destiny is committed to energy literacy and we stand ready to provide a rigorous project-oriented energy curriculum at our Learning Center. We are thrilled to be the host of Project EverGREEN Schools' first learning laboratory."
Project EverGREEN Schools® classroom model will build a community of learners, promote public awareness, and encourage acceptance of 21st Century technology. Destiny's 3.2 mw solar rooftop array – the largest in the United States *GIVEN STATUS – should we reduce) – atop a LEED Gold building will provide just one of the working examples of how distributed energy from renewable sources can become commercially viable. "Understanding onsite energy generation is essential to our nation's ability to harvest renewable energy." said Zaplitny.

Partners GREEN recently sent a letter to President Obama regarding "Onsite Renewable Energy, Efficiencies and Education at our Nation's Schools", detailing a plan under which the Federal government can help dissolve red tape around the country related to school deployment of renewables. The letter is to be delivered to President Obama at the American Council of Renewable Energy's "RETECH" conference in Las Vegas on February 26th

Project EverGREEN Schools® is an interactive, self-sustaining cycle that begins with hands-on, project-based, educational experiences. Understanding stimulates innovations that lead to technological discoveries and new employment opportunities. Public acceptance of new technologies provides funding for continued education but we need to have that innovative initial technology to begin the process.
Destiny USA is a living laboratory for consumer behavior, and a premier renewable energy, sustainable design and universal access project. It will promote Upstate New York's rich tourism assets while creating an on-site, technology enabled destination complete with hospitality venues, first class consumer experiences for millions of guests, and a research laboratory for brand partners who will occupy the 1.3 million square foot first phase which is presently under construction. Destiny USA will be the stimulus that creates new economic opportunities for the Upstate New York region, while helping to break our nation's dependence on fossil fuels.
